This book is a lot of fun to read! You can really discover Lorelei’s personality and how she relates to others in the 6th grade.

A funny and insightful book about the thoughts of an 11-year-old.
Lynn (Frankenmuth, MI)
This author really understands kids and what they go through. This book kept me turning the pages.
Anna (Jeffersonville, IN)
I thought this was a good book. I have started a journal too.
Laura (Port Angeles, WA)
I, Lorelei is a well-written account of a family falling apart. At times it is heartbreaking, at other times hilarious. I think children of divorce will deeply identify with Lorelei and her life.
Maureen (Austin, TX)
Three cheers for Lorelei Connelly! Despite the usual cast of characters one must face in middle school and the challenges at home, she is able to use her journal to help her sift through her thoughts, confusion, and feelings and put things into perspective. Whether facing fears, disappointments, achievements, or disasters, she rises to the occasion and proves what an admirable, steady, and believable character she is.
Emily (Mobile, AL)
This book is fantastic! I am a 7th grader and Yeardley Smith really gets into the head of a typical pre-teen girl. Lorelei is amazing and her story kept me reading until the end.
