Matthew S. Armstrong has loved to draw and paint since he was just a boy and has studied fine arts at the Visual Art Institute in Sugarhouse, Utah. He is also the illustrator of The Return to Narnia, a picture book based on Prince Caspian by C. S. Lewis, and The Chronicles of Narnia Pop-up, with pop-ups by Robert Sabuda. He lives in Salt Lake City, Utah.
