The Magic Thief is everything you could want in a fantasy book—adventurous, mysterious, and exciting! Conn is instantly relatable and likable—I rooted for him throughout the entire book…I loved all the twists and turns and CANNOT WAIT for the next two novels!!! Thank goodness it's a trilogy is all I can say!

The Magic Thief is fantasy at its best! Sarah Prineas has created a story with such strong character development it was difficult to put the book down. At every page turn there seems to be another twist to this most entertaining story. Many chapters end as wizard Nevery Finglas writes his diary entries giving the reader even more insight into what is going on in the story. It’s simply a wonderful story full of good and evil and a true fantasy because the main character, Connwaer, is on such a fascinating quest. I’m anxiously awaiting a sequel!

This was a really cool book! I like how it told the story from Conn's point of view, in first person. The idea of how magic works in this book is different than any other I have read before.

When I first picked it up I thought it would just be another story about magic...how wrong I was! It is unique and fantastic by itself! One of the best fantasy books I have read in a long time!

Conn's introduction to magic is not would you would expect. His career up to the point of picking the wrong pocket, was that of a common thief. Instead of punishment, he receives a new life, but not the one he bargained for. His relationship with the wizard Nevery becomes much more than that of a master and apprentice. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a taste for mystery, magic and biscuits (you will need to read the book to understand why!).

This is one of those books that leave you tingling inside after you read it, completely ravenous for more. Conn, the main character, has something about him that makes you love him and want to protect him. All in all, it has an intriguing introduction, an outstanding plot, and a cliff-hanging ending that makes this the best book I have read in a long time.
